Melanie Priestly, First Connections’ First Time Moms Group Facilitator and Health Educator, can provide up to 3 free home visits to address postpartum issues such as sleep deprivation, infant consoling techniques, feeling isolated from friends and coworkers, getting out and about, sibling adjustment strategies, and other stressors new moms and dads may be experiencing. Practical knowledge and support are shared. During her visits, Melanie can also link families with community resources and provide additional referrals if needed. This home visiting service is available to families living in our 11-town catchment area. You may have met Melanie already at an Emerson Hospital birthing class, or on one of her visits to Emerson’s Labor & Delivery Unit.
